A given dream

By

As I sit and ponder seeing if this is a dream,

I analyze reality to find out what this means,

A terrible reaction to the anger built inside,

The horrifying outcome of a death in someone’s eyes,

My mind is placed above the rest to outlook everyone,

I’m looking for the good but having trouble finding some,

An action taken on a whim can turn out for the worst,

While one can taste the misery that’s quenching evils thirst,

Digging deep inside the soul of honesty’s last breath,

I’ll find the chance to change the world before no time is left,

I keep on writing, spelling out my troubles as I live,

My words, my poems, my own insight, this gift is what I give.
